On January 1st, 2013 we participated in the 1st Annual Commitment Day 5K Race in SLC, Utah.

It was a balmy 10 degrees outside, with a windchill factor sub-zero.

By all intents and purposes we should never have wanted to do another race again! But, oddly enough, we enjoyed ourselves.

What’s more, we decided to “Take The Challenge” to make a Commitment for 2013 that would be something really BIG. Something new and exciting that we had never done before but would take our fitness to “the next level”. And thus, our “Race-Per-Month” idea was born. We would begin with doing 5K events. Then, we would work up to 10K and eventually would run our first Half Marathon in July. After that, we would continue to run, and look for new and exciting events to share together!
