HCG Diet: Last Dosage Weight

July 26, 2012 by UtahMan&Wife

It’s DAY 42. This morning we got our official “Last Dosage Weight” (LDW) for our First Round, Phase 2 of the hCG therapy. We made it! [Technically, we should have had LDW yesterday, but since we were finishing up our totally awesome vacation, we extended the drops one day]. We are excited to share our results with you!

For the next 3 days we will continue to eat the VLCD (Very Low Calorie Diet) as usual, but without the hCG drops. This allows the hormone to fully work its way out of our system. On Sunday we will transition into Phase 3, upping our calories dramatically in order to make up for all the fat calories no longer being released into our bloodstream our body has been used to, and allow us to maintain our LDW within a 2 lb. radius either way over the next 6 weeks. This will help “lock in” our weight and fully stabilize us. We are still deciding what will be our best course of action moving forward – whether or not we are going to do another Round of hCG, or whether we will transition into an exercise intensive program.

Drumroll please…our final stats from Round 1, P2:

Utah Man

Starting Weight: 249.4 lbs
Highest Load Weight: 254.0 lbs
Yesterday’s Weight: 219.0 lbs
Today’s Weight: 216.6 – down -2.4 lb – WHOO HOO!!

Pre-load weight loss -32.8 lbs; post-load weight loss –37.4 lbs

I think the 2+ lb weight loss for both us just shows that we were most likely losing consistently over the last two days while we were down in Cedar City even though the replacement Walmart scale was showing otherwise. (yes, we have returned that offensive scale).

It has been great to be able to wear clothing sizes that I haven’t been able to fit into for years – yet I am not quite where I need to be. There is still some fat to lose and muscle to build up. I am really itching to get through Phase 3 and be able to start weight training and exercising again. The wonder of the HcG protocol is that I was able to shed this much weight in such a compressed time period! I basically lost 38 pounds in 40 days. How cool is that?!  I am now in a position that I can focus more on building up and toning my body and less on “losing weight.”

Utah Wife

Starting Weight: 187.2 lbs
Highest Load Weight: 192.8 lbs
Yesterday’s Weight: 170.6 lbs
Today’s Weight: 168.3 – Down -2.3   ~  HELLO 160s, finally! Woot!

Totals:  Pre-load weight loss 18.8 lbs  / Post-load loss –24.4 lbs

Hallelujah to be able to weigh in on our OWN scale at home! There certainly was a huge difference between the two. Whether the weight on the other scale, or the weight on ours is the more “accurate”, we don’t know, and it doesn’t really matter. What does matter is that we have used the same scale the entire time, so it shows how much we have lost in total.

In conclusion of this round, I have lost an average of 2/3 of a pound per day! That is well over the average for women of 1/2 lb. and I am really pleased. Where else could I have dropped nearly 25 lbs in 40 days?! Only hCG. They really ARE Miraculous Miracle Skinny Drops. I’m a believer.

However, I am also a realist.

This is a complete lifestyle commitment.

All diets tell you that. Very few, if any, are practical long-term, and many set you up to fail on purpose so you will come running back to buy their product(s).

Anyone who thinks they can just take the hCG drops (or shots), lose a big chunk of weight and then return to eating the same way as before will definitely regain the weight (and then some). Therefore, I would only recommend doing this program for people who are truly ready to change their lives forever – and their eating habits for good. That means committing to NO MORE SUGAR. NO MORE CHEMICALS. NO MORE PROCESSED “FOOD”, NO MORE STARCHES. and VERY MINIMAL DAIRY or GRAINS (for many, it will mean NO DAIRY or GRAINS because your system is actually allergic to them and you don’t know it yet). For life. Period.

These are actually the very principals of healthy eating habits that everyone should and must adopt. I believe if you could make these changes without hCG, you would lose the same amount of fat and inches… eventually. But it would be over a much longer time span and you would suffer from a lot more cravings. UtahMan and I ate Paleolithic for nearly 5 months last year. We lost weight, and we felt better than we have ever felt in our lives! We did this in conjunction with working out daily at a CrossFit gym. I believe that this is the natural transition for a successful hCG-er to make beyond P3. Unfortunately, our problem last year was that #1. we had not kicked our sugar and grain addictions, and #2. we were carrying around so much weight it was very hard and painful to move. When a family crises occurred, we fell off the program. We returned to our old “comfort foods”, and we stopped exercising. (The double whammy). Now that we have gone through the full “cleansing” on the hCG program, have released SO MUCH fat, and rid ourselves of sugar and chemicals, I really think our bodies are ready to embrace the Paleo “clean eating” and intensive exercise lifestyle for good. I feel so great! I really want to keep feeling this way! My body totally craves water, fruit, veggies, fish, and exercise. I’m lovin’ it! 🙂

Very good points. I have been struggling with the South Beach Diet and it too requires a laying off of sugars and cooling it on the grains. It certainly does take a committed mindset.

We’ve done South Beach. It is a decent program, but nothing really compares to doing hCG and the Paleolithic. If you would like more info on Paleo and “Primal” lifestyle, we highly recommend checking out Marks Daily Apple. Thanks for all of your comments and questions! It seems we ought to create a “favorite links” page with all of this info.
