Happy “Father’s Day Sunday”! It’s the final countdown to the “Very Low Calorie Diet” (VLCD) phase! This was our last ‘Lock ‘n Load’ Day.
Day 3 Stats
Starting Weight: 249.4 lbs
Today’s Weight: 253.5 lbs
Thoughts: I was thinking I probably added another 4 or more pounds after yesterday’s gorgefest – but I actually went down a tenth of a pound. Who knew?! The ironic think about today was that we wanted to include Sunday as one of our load days as we were going to be at a family party for Father’s day and we knew there would be plenty of fatty, high calorie foods to choose from. Actually, it ended up being the healthiest meal we ate during the whole loading period- turkey burgers, baked tortilla chips and watermelon. Apparently, that side of the family has suddenly become health conscious. . . “thankfully” they brought out an ice-cream cake later on!
Breakfast – 4 pieces of leftover pizza from last night
Lunch – peanut butter and jam sandwich
Dinner – 2 turkey burgers, tomato, lettuce, mayo; tortilla chips, watermelon, and Holly’s baked beans, (oh, yeah, and ice cream cake). – U-Man
Gotta share this!
Starting Weight: 187.2 lbs
Today’s Weight: 191.3 lbs
Hey, look at that, despite all that fatty food yesterday, I totally stayed the same weight! I even weighed myself 3 times just to make sure the scale wasn’t being weird – but, it was the same each time. Like U-Man said, it was an ironic day because I was kind of hoping to “go out in style” for my last loading day, and then my sister served just about the healthiest family dinner I’ve ever been to! Normally, we would have been doing a big happy dance over that. And there we were feeling disappointed. Ha! The sweet irony.
So, Thank heaven for that good ole Baskin Robbin’s icecream cake for dessert! 🙂 I indulged in 3 pieces because this was my “last hoorah” for sugar and carbs for I don’t know how long (basically forever), and also because it happened to be my fave flavor – chocolate mint. – U-Wife
